Admire all the facets of this little Mont Aiguille, whose immense, tapering rocky blade stands sentinel-like, guarding access to the treasures of the Vercors high plateaux nature reserve: Glandasse cliffs, Archiane cirque, val...
1/ From the parking lot (Park information panel), retrace your steps a few dozen metres to take the path that climbs to the right, towards the Col de Côte Chèvre. Cross the Col de Menée road, and continue straight ahead on the track. The path goes deeper into the undergrowth on a steady slope and approaches the cliffs of the Combau rock.
2/ Pass an old shelter housing an ancient still. Reach an old ruin at the Font Morte spring. The forest becomes sparse and the landscape opens out onto the Beaupuy greenhouse at the Col de Côte Chèvre (1,531 m).
3/ Begin the descent towards Liodève. The path crosses a scree (view of the Combau rock and the valley). It then goes into the woods and picks up the track to reach the road at Granges de Combau (1,365 m).
4/ Turn left onto the road to Les Nonières for 3 km. This picturesque road leads around the Combau rock.
5/ At a small bend in the road, turn left onto a path that descends into a wood and runs alongside the Combau stream (caution: slippery sections in wet weather).
6/ At the road, turn left and, on the other side of the stream, take a path to the right. The path goes straight downhill, comes to a road (trimmed boxwood) and continues straight downhill.
7/ At Liodève (917 m), take the wider path on the left towards Les Nonières. At the cemetery, continue on the D120 for 100 m, then leave it and take the path that climbs to the left. Arrive at the first houses in Les Nonières, pass under an arch and turn left at the fountain onto rue de Moissonière. Continue straight ahead. Leave the town hall on your left, pass the church and turn right around it. Take the chemin du lavoir. Rejoin the main road at the "Les Nonières" sign (858 m). Turn left towards the Côte-Chèvre pass and return to the starting parking lot.
Free access.
