Outside summer, we rent out the independent studio for 2/4 people.
During your vacation, you'll enjoy a modern, kidfriendly, eco-friendly, very bright, uncluttered and comfortable home on the heights of Die, with an inspiring, unobstructed view of the mountains.
Our house, an independent 150m2 dwelling just for you, can accommodate up to 10 people (11 if you squeeze in). It comprises (on the first floor) a large, light-filled living room with open kitchen, 3 bedrooms (sleeps 8); and a generous, connecting studio on the first floor (sleeps 2 + 1 extra). There are 2 bathrooms and 2 separate WCs. Our well-maintained home is equipped with top-quality fixtures and fittings (including bedding) and dedicated storage space.
Outside:
- Dining: tables for 10, a barbecue and a pergola on a large 60m2 terrace.
- Play: trampoline, sandpit, table tennis, basketball hoop
- Swimming: in the large swimming pool (8 x 3 meters), open from June to September, in full sunshine, with an incredible view of the mountains. You can swim a few lengths, lounge in the water, play with your children, or just dip your feet in. It's the perfect place to cool off and make some great memories! You can also take a dip in Die's beautiful swimming pool and in the Drôme river, a 5-minute drive from the house.
- Take it easy, read a book, daydream... in the deckchairs and hammock!
This house is ideal for families: bedrooms close by, "quiet" studio (for teenagers / grandparents / or a playroom), leisure activities (books, games...), secure swimming pool (shutter), baby kit. However, there is no safety gate on the stairs to the living room.
The gîte is located in a quiet area in the heart of nature, on a small hill, yet close to the center of Die (15mn on foot, 5mn by bike, 3mn by car). This ancient Roman town, nestled at the foot of the Vercors mountains (475m altitude), lies in the Drôme region between the Alps and Provence, 2 hours from Lyon by car and 3h30 from Paris by train.
Here, between mountains and rivers, is a paradise for nature and animal lovers, sports enthusiasts, ecologists... and also for the curious, the bon vivants, fans of the gentle way of life... thanks to a multitude of activities, for young and old, and incredible landscapes. Swimming (pools, rivers, lakes...), sports (cycling, hiking, canoeing, via ferrata, paddle, canyoning, caving, climbing, horse-riding, tennis, padel...), leisure activities (accrobranche, cani rando, scooter, watergame, rail sledging, wakeboarding...), visits and workshops (distillery, canoeing, canoeing...).), visits and workshops (distillery, Clairette wineries, Resistance memorial sites, caves, farms, picturesque villages...), not to mention winter activities (downhill skiing, skating, luge, biathlon, dog sledding...). Close to the gîte: walks, skate park, soccer, basketball, bike cross, playground...
And don't forget Die, a lively, authentic little town with its 3rd-century ramparts, charming alleyways, local designers and producers, restaurants, cafés, guinguettes, festivals, market and swimming spots!
It can be hot in the Drôme. During the day, the house has different orientations and terraces to enjoy the shade, and a swimming pool to cool off in. If you need to cool off, you'll find swimming pools, rivers, lakes, caves, forests and the Vercors massif nearby... In the evening, the nights remain cool, so you sleep well.
As the seasons go by, the landscapes and atmospheres are magical, and the activities adapt between mountains and rivers! In winter, the sun floods through the large bay windows, and the south-facing house is very pleasant to live in... and a good fire warms hearts and bodies! Die remains lively with its market and small shops, and you can take advantage of beautiful escapades on the Vercors plateau (snowshoeing, skiing, sledding...). Impossible to get bored! I'll be happy to share our favorites: activities, entertainment and good addresses to suit your tastes!
IMPORTANT OUT OF SUMMER: we sometimes rent our house out of summer. The configuration of the beds is a little different and there's our stuff (but it's still uncluttered!).
PETS: Dogs welcome :) with a few rules (no climbing on mattresses / sofas, no nuisance for neighbors...).
