About

  • Pets welcome

Beaumont is built at the foot of one of the cluse's rocks, crossed by a tributary of the Drôme. The landscapes are wooded and open onto vast meadows.

Step by step

1/ From the parking lot, in the cluse, continue south on the D175 and enter the village by the road on the right (houses leaning against the rock). Pass to the left of the war memorial and continue along the road opposite.

2/ At the crossroads, at the entrance to the Grand Devès cluse, take the wide track on the left. It rises steadily, passing a number of buildings and, after 3.5k, skirting the ferme du Col on the left.

3/ In the next hairpin bend, leave the track and take the path on the right. On the mountainside, it reaches the greenhouse of the Pierrelle rock (eagle's nest viewpoint at the change of slope).

4/ Switch to the north-facing slope along the side trail. After 250 m, reach a crow's-foot in the undergrowth.

5/ Turn right. The path descends through a wide right-hand bend to a large meadow. Follow the wood and, further down, enter the wood on the right, leading to a second meadow.

6/ Take the right-hand track for 150 m. At the hairpin bend, go right into the meadow. Below, find the path leading down into the woods. After two hairpins, it skirts the bottom of the Grand-Devès combe, diverges from it, makes tight bends and returns to the talweg. Take the track to the right. It crosses the cluse and leads back to the crossroads.

2/ Go straight ahead, following the same route used to reach the parking lot.
