Yes, it's half the size of the Lac du Lauzon, but this path that cuts through the alpine pastures between sheep and cows is the balcony of the listed Jarjatte valley, with the added bonus of a view over the Trièves dominated by the 7th wonder of the Dauphiné: Mont-Aiguille.
1/ From the parking lot, continue along the road towards the bottom of the valley. At Champ de la Commune (alt. 1267m) go straight on until you reach Ravin du Fleyrard (alt. 1267m).

2/ Leave the track and turn left onto the steep path that joins the track. Turn left to climb more gently to the Cabane du Fleyrard crossroads (alt. 1600m) before the Lauzon torrent.

3/ Take the path that goes completely to the left at the foot of some remarkable beech trees and leads out into the alpine pasture on a balcony overlooking the Jarjatte valley.

4/ 300m after the ewe park on the left, take the faint path to the right, entering the beech grove 50m further on and opening up above the pass (view of the Trièves and Mont Aiguille). Descend to the right of the ridge to reach the Col de la Croix (alt. 1497m).
